Providing customized source code control with CVS

Once CVS is up and running, there are some administrative tasks that will pop up from time to time. It may be necessary to reconfigure, and this should be done according to the configuration guide.

There are other things the administrator might have to do:

Moving a file: CVS has no provisions for doing this directly. There are three ways to do this, none of which are correct under all circumstances, but one of them will usually serve. These are discussed here.
